"Make It 90 RMB" — Why We Said No, and What We Did Instead

Sep 16, 2026

A real conversation with an Indian distributor, a budget constraint, and a custom configuration that worked.

The Request: Push the R20 Price Down

The customer wanted the R20B but had a firm budget in mind:

"The R20 price is lower. Make it in 90 RMB."

We were honest:

"There's no room for further reduction in profit margins. Going any lower would require downgrading the specifications."

That was not a refusal. It was an opening.

The Alternative: R37 with a Custom Configuration

Instead of holding firm on the R20, we introduced a different model:

"If you find the price of the R20B too high, I can recommend the R37 to you. This model typically comes with the 4575 chip and 300W power, but I can customize it for you with the 4070 chip and 200W power. This configuration is more affordable "

The logic: same product category, lower-spec chip and power, lower price — a configuration built specifically to fit his budget without cutting corners on the R20.

The Pushback: Compatibility Concern

The customer's first concern was practical:

"R37 can't support all cars — it will blink or damage the fuse."

A fair concern. High-power LED bulbs can cause CANBUS errors or fuse stress on certain vehicles. We addressed it directly:

"No, this one is 200W per pair. The configuration has already been adjusted."

Tunc misimus video experimentale — captum per TKlamp TK2301E Automotive Lighting Tester — monstrans reales lectiones potentiae: potentia initialis 95–100W per lampadam (200W per par), potentia stabilis 70–75W.

Eventus: Exemplaria ordinata ad experimentum

Post visum experimentorum data, responsio clientis:

"Habeo necessitudinem horum exemplarium. Debeo explorare — postea confirmabo."

Adhuc non ordo plenus — sed petitio exemplarium subpilata clara ratione experimenti. Hoc est exacte rectus eventus pro nova configuratione: proba in vero mercatu, deinde auge.

Quod hic casus ostendit

Limitationes pecuniariae non necesse est significent "nullum pactum." Significant "invenire rectam configurationem."

R37 in standard specification (4575 chip / 300W) was not the solution for this customer. R37 in adjusted specification (4070 chip / 200W) was — lower chip tier, lower power, lower price, and still within compatibility range for his market.

Key difference from merely 'offering a cheaper product': we presented test data. Not a spec sheet claim — an actual instrument reading, captured on video, from our factory floor. This flexible-configuration service is not exclusive to R37. Across our full product portfolio — including R20, R33, R36, and other high-performance models — we support adjustable chips and power tuning. Whether your target is premium high-output performance or cost-optimized specifications for tight-budget markets, we can tailor hardware parameters and validate real-world performance with lab test data.
